GO EXPLORE PEMBROKESHIRE

Being based in the heart of the Pembrokeshire national park , Glamping @ the paddocks is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the beautiful coastal towns and beaches  on offer. Manorbier village and it’s stunning Norman castle overlooking the beach is just one and a half miles from your door. The Pembrokeshire coastal path leads off from the beach west towards beautiful Swan lake bay and Freshwater east or east towards lydstep and the dramatic coastline approaching Tenby.Tenby with it’s 13th Century town walls and busy harbour provide plenty to see and do for all the family. Jump on a boat trip from here over to Candy Island , one of Britains holy islands where the Cistercian monks still live in the abbey founded in 1910. Saundersfoot , just 6 miles away is a large coastal village with a thriving harbour and popular beaches. Water sports are available both from the harbour and the adjacent ‘Coppit hall’ which you can reach by road or walk through the tunnels which one housed the railway carrying coal to the harbour. Just ten minute drive away is the historic town of Pembroke, birth place of Henry Tudor, King of England. The breathtaking medieval fortress of Pembroke castle sits surrounded by water on 3 sides. Hiring a rowboat on the millponds to row leisurely around the outer walls of the castle is available and a great way to take in the scenery. Pembrokeshire has more history, exciting and interesting places to visit than we could possibly mention here but plenty of information boards , maps and leaflets are available to you on site, and Jan, Phil or Sarah will be happy to recommend places for you to visit. For the more energetic of our guests Heatherton country sports park and llys y fran reservoir and activity centre provide everything from treetop walks, to paddle boarding and go carting ! Animal lovers ? Manor House wildlife park is practically on the doorstep and Folly farm adventure zoo is just a short drive away providing fun days out for all the family.
